Can't get into Gordon Online, Microsoft login just keeps coming back. (Outside school or business managed device)

 

This method below is a work around for computers that are trying to access Gordon Online on a device that is managed by their school or workplace.

If you are trying to log in to Gordon Online and keep getting the Microsoft log-in screen even after you have attempted to log-in below is a possible workaround for this SSO (Single Sign On) issue. 

Step 1)

Open Chrome, then go to next step.

*If you do not have Chrome and cannot install Chrome go to step 7.

Step 3)

Click “Add Chrome Profile” and continue to next step.

If “Add Chrome Profile” is not available use “Open Guest profile” then continue to log into Gordon Online.

Step 4)

Select “Stay Signed Out” or “Continue without an account” depending on your version of Chrome.

Step 5)

Name your profile e.g. Gordon TAFE

 

Step 6)

Use this new profile to login to Gordon Online via the student portal, if this fails return to step 3, and use “Open Guest profile” then continue to log into Gordon Online.

*If either of the above fail to work on your device and give access to Gordon Online, continue to step 7 and try this alternate solution.

 

Step 7)

Navigate to Office 365 (https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-365) or Outlook (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/outlook), then click on sign in in the top right hand corner.

Step 8)

Sign in with your high school or other organisation email account ie; johndoe@workplaceOrSchool.edu.au

 

Step 9)

Then click on your name in the bottom left corner, a pop-up box should appear, click on “Sign in with a different account”.  

Step 10)

Then click on “+ Use another account” and sign in with you Gordon email address (StudentNumber@gordontafe.edu.au), then click next and enter your password for this account.

Step 11)

Navigate to The Gordon Student Portal and click on Gordon Online. You should now either get direct access with your Gordon account or be prompted to choose which account you want to use.
