How to check you have local admin rights to install Office.
Mac users: Microsoft 365 supports the three most recent versions of macOS. To ensure a successful installation, verify that your Mac is running one of these supported versions. You can check the latest macOS releases on the Apple Support website.
Choose your operating system;
Step 1) Go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps and if you’re not already signed in, please select Sign in.
Step 2) Sign in using your Gordon email address. Then click "Next" and you will be redirected to The Gordon TAFE login
page to verify your password.
Step 3) After signing in, go to Apps and then click Install apps. Choose Microsoft 365 apps.
Step 4) Under My Account select Install Office
It will download the necessary application…
Step 5) Once download is complete, please run the downloaded application.
Step 6) When completed you will receive a message to verify install complete, then click close.
Step 7) Open Word from your start menu, when prompted to activate, click the Sign In option.
Step 8) Enter your Gordon email address StudentNumber@gordontafe.edu.au (12345678@gordontafe.edu.au)
then click next.
Step 9) When prompted, enter your Gordon password and click next.
Step 10) If prompted with a message to “Sign in to all apps and websites on this device?” select Yes.
Step 11) When prompted select “Accept” to the licence agreement.
Step 12) You should now see your Gordon account details by clicking the initials in the top right-hand corner.
If you do not see your Gordon details, you will need to click on Update License under account and follow the
prompts using your Gordon email address. Or click on Sign in with a different account and use your Gordon details
to sign in.
Step 13) Finally, close and then reopen Word. You are now ready to use your Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Step 1) Go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps and if you’re not already signed in, please select "Sign in".
Step 2) Sign in using your Gordon email address. Then click "Next" and you will be redirected to The Gordon TAFE login
page to verify your password.
Step 3) After signing in, go to “Apps” and then click Install apps. Choose Microsoft 365 apps.
Step 4) Under My Account select Install Office, you may get a pop-up that asks you if you want to allow download on
“portal.office.com." Click “Allow”.
It will download the necessary application, and it will save the installer.pkg file in your "Downloads"
Step 5) Open the install file, on the first installation screen, select "Continue" to begin the installation process.
Step 6) Review the software license agreement, and then click "Continue".
Step 7) Select "Agree" to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
Step 8) Choose how you want to install Microsoft 365 and click "Continue".
Step 9) Review the disk space requirements or change your install location, and then click "Install".
Step 10) Enter your Mac login password, if prompted, and then click "Install Software".
(This is the password that you use to log in to your Mac.)
Step 11) The software will begin to install. Click "Close" when the installation is finished.
Step 12) A pop-up will ask if you want to move the install file to the bin, click “Allow”.
Step 13) Open Word and click “Activate”.
Step 14) Click on “Use another Account”.
Step 15) Enter your student email address then click "Next" (eg 12345678@gordontafe.edu.au).
Step 16) Enter your Gordon password, then click "Sign in".
Step 17) You’re all set to use your Microsoft 365.
